Glen David Brin (born October 6, 1950) is an American science fiction author. He has won the Hugo , [1] [2] Locus , [3] [4] [5] Campbell [6] and Nebula Awards . [7] His novel The Postman was adapted into a 1997 feature film starring Kevin Costner .
David Brin nasceu a 6 de Outubro de 1950 em Glendale, Califórnia. Em 1973 tirou o bacharelato em Astrofísica no Instituto de Tecnologia da Califórnia . Posteriormente em 1977 finaliza o mestrado em Engenharia Elétrica na área da óptica , em 1981 o Doutoramento de Filosofia em Ciências do espaço e em 1985 o Pós-Doutoramento , tudo na Universidade da Califórnia em San Diego .
