Willem de Kooning (Roterdão, 24 de abril de 1904 — Long Island, 19 de março de 1997) foi um pintor, escultor e desenhista neerlandês naturalizado estadunidense, um dos principais nomes do expressionismo abstrato e um dos pioneiros da action painting.
Willem de Kooning (/ d ə ˈ k uː n ɪ ŋ /; Dutch: [ˈʋɪləm də ˈkoːnɪŋ]; April 24, 1904 – March 19, 1997) was a Dutch-American abstract expressionist artist. Born in Rotterdam, in the Netherlands, he moved to the United States in 1926, becoming a US citizen in 1962. In 1943, he married painter Elaine Fried.
