31 de dez. de 2023 · He was a gentleman called Alfred E. Goodey. Alfred was born in 1878 to William Henry Goodey and Rhoda Goodey and, from an early age, showed an interest in both the creation and collection of works of art.
In 1936 the museum was given a substantial collection of paintings by Alfred E. Goodey who had been collecting art for 50 years. At his death in 1945 he left £13,000 to build an extension to the museum.
