Sir Nathaniel Dance (20 June 1748 – 25 March 1827) was an officer of the East India Company who had a long and varied career on merchant vessels, making numerous voyages to India and back with the fleets of East Indiamen.
24 de fev. de 2024 · On his return to London in 1766, Dance established himself as a fashionable portrait painter. Like his brother George, Dance became a Founder Member of the Royal Academy. He sent full-length portraits of George III and Queen Charlotte to its inaugural exhibition in 1769.
