Jean-Baptiste-Pierre Lebrun. Jean-Baptiste-Pierre Le Brun (1748 – 7 August 1813) was a French painter, art collector and art dealer. Simon Denis was his pupil.
Jean-Baptiste Pierre Le Brun ou Lebrun, né en 1748 à Paris et mort dans la même ville le 7 août 1813, est un peintre, collectionneur et marchand d'art français. Il est le fils du peintre Pierre Le Brun (vers 1700-1771), qui était l’arrière-petit-neveu du peintre Charles Le Brun (1619-1690).

The French art dealer Jean-Baptiste Pierre Le Brun (1748–1813) was probably the most gifted connoisseur in late eighteenth- and early nineteenth-century France.
LeBrun, the grand-nephew of the illustrious artist Charles LeBrun, became one of the most successful art dealers in Paris. He played an active role in the politics of art between 1789 and 1802, serving as an expert-commissioner in restoration at the national museum.
