The Jewel Robbery at the Grand Metropolitan. While staying at the Grand Metropolitan Hotel in Brighton, Poirot and Hastings meet the wealthy Opalsen couple. Mrs Opalsen offers to show Poirot a pearl necklace, but discovers that it has been stolen when she goes to fetch it from her room.
The Jewel Robbery at the Grand Metropolitan is a short story written by Agatha Christie. It was first published in The Sketch in March 1923 in the U.K. as "The Curious Disappearance of the Opalsen Pearls."
