Ravi Vakil. Ravi Vakil's homepage. Office: 383-Q. I am a Professor of Mathematics and the Robert K. Packard University Fellow at Stanford University, and was the David Huntington Faculty Scholar.
Vakil is an algebraic geometer and his research work spans over enumerative geometry, topology, Gromov–Witten theory, and classical algebraic geometry. He has solved several old problems in Schubert calculus .

Ph.D. in Mathematics, Harvard University. Ravi Vakil is the faculty advisor for the Stanford Math Circle. As a high school student, Ravi placed first in the USA Mathematical Olympiad, and won two gold medals and one silver medal at the International Mathematical Olympiad (IMO). In 1987, he wrote a perfect paper at the IMO.
