Tom Kilburn CBE FRS (11 August 1921 – 17 January 2001) was an English mathematician and computer scientist. [1] [2] Over his 30-year career, he was involved in the development of five computers of great historical significance.

1 de jul. de 2024 · In 1962, it was considered the most powerful computer in the world. Kilburn was professor of computer engineering (1960), then computer science (1964) at the University Manchester, retiring in 1981. He was a Fellow of the Royal Society.
