2 de ago. de 2020 · Sarcófago. Ahmose-Meritamon morreu antes do irmão, em 1580 a.C. O túmulo dela foi instalado nas proximidades do mausoléu de Amenhotep I. Além disso, a múmia dela foi encontrada milhares de anos depois do óbito, em 1930, dentro de uma tumba com a designação TT358.

Tradicional no Egito Antigo, ela também era irmã do marido, vivendo pouco tempo antes de ser enterrada e mumificada na necrópole de Deir el-Bahari.
Meritamen is well known for her beautiful limestone statue, the White Queen found at the Ramesseum, the temple complex her father had built. In Kitchen's Ramesside inscriptions, the statue is attributed to Queen Tuya (mother of Ramesses II), but it is now generally thought to represent Princess-Queen Meritamen.
Ahmose-Meritamun (or Ahmose-Meritamon) was a Queen of Egypt during the early Eighteenth Dynasty. She was both the older sister and the wife of Pharaoh Amenhotep I. She died fairly young and was buried in tomb TT358 in Deir el-Bahari.

Despite the fact that only the titles of the queen are visible, it is known that this is a statue of Queen Meritamen, a daughter and consort of Ramesses II (ca. 1279-1213 BC), due to an almost identical piece being found in Akhmim.
