Bogislaw XIV (31 March 1580 – 10 March 1637) was the last Duke of Pomerania. He was also the Lutheran administrator of the Prince-Bishopric of Cammin. Biography. Bogislaw was born in Barth as a member of the House of Griffin. He was the third son of Duke Bogislaw XIII by his first wife Clara of Brunswick-Lüneburg.

The last Griffin duke of Pomerania was Bogislaw XIV, who died during the Thirty Years' War, which led to the division of Pomerania between Brandenburg-Prussia, Sweden and Poland. Duchess Anna von Croy, daughter of Duke Bogislaw XIII and the last Griffin, died in 1660. Name of the Dynasty.
28 de abr. de 2022 · Bogislaw XIV of Pomerania or Bogislavs XIV (Latin: Bogislaus XIV; Polish: Bogusław XIV) was the last Duke of Pomerania. His titles included Duke of Stettin (Szczecin), Cassubiorum et Vandalorum; Prince of Rügen; and Lutheran Bishop of Cammin (Kamień).
Bogislaw XIV, Duke of Pomerania, the last living member of the House of Pomerania, had suffered a stroke already in April 1631. Sweden neither approved nor rejected the Brandenburgian offer. On 19 November 1634, a "regiment constitution" reformed the administration of the duchy of Pomerania.
Bogislaw XIV was the last Duke of Pomerania. He was also the Lutheran administrator of the Prince-Bishopric of Cammin.
Bogislaw XIV (1580–1637) reunites the duchy with Pomerania-Wolgast in 1625. The Thirty Years' War (1618–1648) ravages the country. Plague decimates the population in 1624, especially in Pomerania-Stettin.
