Catherine Colyear (nascida Catherine Sedley; Londres, 21 de dezembro de 1657 – Bath, 26 de outubro de 1717) [1] [2] foi uma nobre e cortesã inglesa. Conhecida pelo seu sarcasmo e língua afiada, foi amante do rei Jaime II de Inglaterra , antes e depois dele subir ao trono.

Conhecida pelo seu sarcasmo e língua afiada, foi amante do rei Jaime II de Inglaterra, antes e depois dele subir ao trono. Foi investida como condessa de Dorchester e baronesa de Darlington pelo rei, além de ter sido condessa de Portmore pelo seu casamento com David Colyear.
Catherine Sedley (21 de dezembro de 1657 - 26 de outubro de 1717), Condessa de Dorchester e condessa de Portmore, filha de Sir Charles Sedley, 5 ª Baronet, era a amante do rei Jacques II da Inglaterra, tanto antes como depois da sua adesão.
Catherine’s yearly pension was doubled to £4,000 and she was created Countess of Dorchester and Baroness of Darlington in her own right for life. However, it was the birth in 1688 of his longed-for son and heir which was the undoing of King James II.
