Ali bin Hussein GBE (Arabic: علي بن الحسين بن علي الهاشمي, romanized: ʿAlī ibn al-Ḥusayn ibn ʿAlī al-Hāshimī; 1879 – 13 February 1935), was King of Hejaz and Grand Sharif of Mecca from October 1924 until he was deposed by Ibn Saud in December 1925.
Hussein ibn Ali, emir of Mecca from 1908 to 1916 and king of the Hejaz from 1916 to 1924. He became emir of Mecca in 1908, and during World War I he led the Arab Revolt against the Ottomans.
