Flavio Chigi (10 May 1631 – 13 September 1693) was an Italian Catholic Cardinal and Duke of Ariccia. He was Cardinal-Nephew to Pope Alexander VII and became a powerful political force inside the Roman Catholic Church during the latter half of the 17th century.

Papa Alexandre VII, nascido Fabio Chigi (Siena, 13 de fevereiro de 1599 — Roma, 22 de maio de 1667), foi o papa da Igreja Católica de 7 de abril de 1655 até sua morte. [ 1 ] Ele começou sua carreira como um legado vice- papal e ocupou vários cargos diplomáticos na Santa Sé.
During the 18th century, Flavio II was created a cardinal. On the marriage in 1735 of another Agostino Chigi (1710–1769) with Giulia Albani, heiress of the Albani, a Venetian patrician family, said to be of Albanian origin, her name was added to that of Chigi.
Biography. The Cardinal-Nephew of Alexander VII Chigi, Flavio Chigi studied philosophy and law before being called to Rome by his uncle. He studied with teh Jesuits before taking orders in 1656, and the following year was made a cardinal with the title of Santa Maria del Popolo.
