Horatio Walpole, 1st Baron Walpole, PC (8 December 1678 – 5 February 1757) was an English diplomat, politician and peer who served as the British ambassador to France from 1724 to 1730. He was the son of Robert Walpole and the younger brother of Robert Walpole, the first Prime Minister of Great Britain.

He married Mary Magdalen Lombard, daughter of Peter Lombard, on 21 July 1720. He died on 5 February 1757 at age 78. He was educated Fell 1702 Eton, King's College Cambridge (BA, MA, –14) and Lincoln's Inn.
