Wolfgang Kapp (1858-1922) was a lawyer, civil servant and politician who advocated annexationist and nationalist policies in World War I. He led the 1920 Kapp Putsch against the Weimar Republic, but failed and went into exile in Sweden.

Wolfgang Kapp war ein deutscher Verwaltungsbeamter und Generallandschaftsdirektor in Ostpreußen, der 1920 einen gescheiterten Putsch gegen die Weimarer Republik anführte. Er war ein Befürworter der uneingeschränkten U-Boot-Kriegsführung und ein Gegner von Bethmann Hollweg.
Named after its leaders Wolfgang Kapp and Walther von Lüttwitz, its goal was to undo the German Revolution of 1918–1919, overthrow the Weimar Republic, and establish an autocratic government in its place. It was supported by parts of the Reichswehr, as well as nationalist and monarchist factions.
