Nicolas Thomas Baudin (French: [nikɔla bodɛ̃]; 17 February 1754 – 16 September 1803) was a French explorer, cartographer, naturalist and hydrographer, most notable for his explorations in Australia and the southern Pacific.
Nicolas-Thomas Baudin (Saint-Martin-de-Ré, 17 de Fevereiro de 1754 – Ilha Maurícia, 16 de Setembro de 1803) foi um explorador francês. Baudin nasceu na Ilha de Ré. Aos quinze anos ingressou na marinha mercante e aos vinte na Companhia Francesa das Índias Orientais.

Nicolas Baudin (1754–1803) led a major scientific expedition to New Holland, Tasmania and New Guinea in 1800–1804. He made many geographical discoveries, collected natural history specimens and interacted with the Aborigines.
