Thomas Butler, 10th Earl of Ormond and 3rd Earl of Ossory KG PC (Ire) (Irish: Tomás Dubh de Buitléir, Iarla Urmhamhan; c. 1531 – 1614), was an influential courtier in London at the court of Elizabeth I. He was Lord Treasurer of Ireland from 1559 to his death.
Thomas Butler, 10th earl of Ormonde (born 1531/32—died Nov. 22, 1614) was an Irish nobleman who sided with the English in the rebellions in the mid-16th century. The son of the 9th earl (James Butler), he was brought up a Protestant at the English court after his father’s death in 1546.
