Edward Montagu, 2nd Earl of Sandwich (3 January 1647/48 – 29 November 1688) was an English aristocrat and politician.
John Montagu, 4º Conde de Sandwich (1718–1792), herdou o título de seu pai, Edward Montagu, 3.º Conde de Sandwich, em 1729, quando tinha a idade de apenas dez anos. Edward Montagu, 3.º Conde de Sandwich (Londres, 10 de abril de 1670 – 20 de outubro de 1729) nasceu em Burlington House, um famoso palácio londrino. Filho de Edward Montagu, 2.º Conde de Sandwich com Lady Ann Boyle. Em 8 de julho de 1689, casou-se com Elizabeth Wilmot, filha de John Wilmot, 2.º Conde de Rochester e Elizabeth Malet.

The son of Sir Sydney Montagu, he raised a regiment for Parliament after the outbreak of the Civil War and fought.
