Joseph Grimond, Baron Grimond, CH, CBE, TD, PC (/ ˈ ɡ r ɪ m ə n d /; 29 July 1913 – 24 October 1993) was a British politician, leader of the Liberal Party for eleven years from 1956 to 1967 and again briefly on an interim basis in 1976.
Jo Grimond (born July 29, 1913, St. Andrews, Fife, Scot.—died Oct. 24, 1993, Kirkwall, Orkney Islands) was the leader of the British Liberal Party during its resurgence after World War II. Educated at Eton and the University of Oxford, Grimond was called to the bar in 1937.
