Sir Hudson Lowe GCMG KCB (28 July 1769 – 10 January 1844) was an Anglo-Irish General during the French Revolution and Napoleonic Wars who is best known for his time as Governor of St Helena, where he was the "gaoler" of the Emperor Napoleon.
Sir Hudson Lowe ou Lord Lowe ( Galway, 28 de julho de 1769 — Chelsea, 10 de janeiro de 1844) foi um soldado e administrador colonial anglo-irlandês, mais conhecido como o carcereiro de Napoleão Bonaparte, pois foi governador de Santa Helena durante o exílio de Napoleão naquela ilha.
Sir Hudson Lowe was a British general, governor of St. Helena when Napoleon I was held captive there; he was widely criticized for his unbending treatment of the former emperor. Lowe held several important commands in the war with France from 1793.
