25 de mai. de 2016 · Nació Rubén González Fontanills el 26 de mayo de 1919 en la central provincia de Villa Clara. Se inició en la música con su hermana y posteriormente con la maestra Amparo Rizo en Cienfuegos. También se recibió como Maestro Normalista y realizó estudios de medicina, pero fue la música lo que marcó su vocación y destino profesional.
