Lorenz Hart was an American lyricist and half of the Broadway songwriting team Rodgers and Hart. He wrote lyrics for 26 musicals, including "Blue Moon", "The Lady Is a Tramp", and "My Funny Valentine", and died in 1943 from alcoholism.
