Gang of Four are widely considered one of the leading bands of the late 1970s/early 1980s post-punk movement. Their debut album, Entertainment! , was ranked by Rolling Stone as the fifth greatest punk album of all time [4] and at number 483 in their list of the 500 Greatest Albums of All Time .

Gang of Four foi uma banda pós-punk britânica formada em Leeds. [1] Faziam parte da formação original o cantor Jon King, o guitarrista Andy Gill, o baixista Dave Allen e o baterista Hugo Burnham. Estiveram totalmente ativos entre os anos de 1977 e 1984, reapareceram durante a década de 1990 por duas vezes com King e Gill.

Gang of Four, the most powerful members of a radical political elite convicted for implementing the harsh policies directed by Chinese Communist Party (CCP) chairman Mao Zedong during the Cultural Revolution (1966–76). The group included Mao’s third wife, Jiang Qing, and Wang Hongwen, Zhang.
