Bedside Manner is a 1945 American comedy film directed by Andrew L. Stone and starring John Carroll, Ruth Hussey, Charles Ruggles and Ann Rutherford. It is based on a 1944 Saturday Evening Post story of the same name by Robert Carson and was distributed by United Artists.
Bedside Manner marked John Carroll's first film after serving two years in the Army Air Corp. [His previous picture was Hit Parade of 1943 .] According to the Hollywood Citizen-News review, Carroll flew thirty-seven missions in Italy before being discharged because of a back injury.
A beautiful female doctor visits the town where her uncle, who is also a doctor, has a practice. The man is overworked and asks his niece to help him. When a macho pilot sees her, he starts faking all kinds of diseases in order to be treated by her. Full Cast & Crew.
