13 de jan. de 2003 · Synopsis by Ryan Shriver. Over forty and in a bit of a midlife crisis, Tunisian film director Raouf (Abdelatif Kechiche) is prone to excessive drinking when not engaged in an argument with his French-born wife Lou (Marianne Basler).
William Friese-Greene was the first man to produce and patent a commercially practical motion-picture camera based on the principles still used today. He lived for his work, sacrificing himself, his family and fortune to satisfy an obsession - to make pictures move. This is his story and the story of the two women who loved him.
Raouf, forty, is a filmmaker. He is married and father of two children. He has already written and directed several films. This is his main preoccupation in life, to the detriment of his entourage and particularly his wife, Lou, who is French.
