When a rainstorm erupts, Maya realizes that the possession of the diamond and the coming of rain are not connected and relinquishes the rights to the diamond to Jean. At his invitation, she returns with them to witness the coronation.
Two French adventurers travel to India in the 17th century to find a blue diamond for the crown of Louis XIV. They meet Queen Maya of Nepal, who for the sake of her people must marry the evil Great Mogul, who also appears to have the diamond in his possession.
