Synopsis. Hassan, Kadi of Bagdad buys a new wife, Kyra, and his favorite, Zohara, devises a plan to persuade him to give up his harem for her and wed Kyra to the Caliph’s godson, Ezar. An elaborate deception allows the Kadi to experience life as a Beggar for a day and return home a humbled husband.
