Based on the 1938 John W. Campbell Jr. novella Who Goes There?, it tells the story of a group of American researchers in Antarctica who encounter the eponymous "Thing", an extraterrestrial life-form that assimilates, then imitates, other organisms.
Sinopse. No Inverno de 1982, uma equipa de 12 exploradores em missão numa estação de pesquisa na Antártida descobre um ser extraterrestre enterrado na neve desde há 100,000 anos. Uma vez descongelado, o mutante extraterrestre provoca a devastação, cria o pânico à sua volta e transforma-se num deles.
