Sinopse. Irene Trent é a bonita mulher do rico e cego cientista Howard Trent. Howard é ciumento e quando ouve a esposa falar dormindo à noite de um amante misterioso, ele desconfia que ela tenha um caso com o advogado Barry Moreland. Numa explosão do laboratório de Howard, ele acaba morrendo.
Sinopse. Durante o turno da noite, Bart Bromley um jovem rececionista, testemunha o assassinato de uma mulher num dos quartos do hotel, mas os seus comportamentos suspeitos acabam por o colocar como principal suspeito.

Synopsis. Irene Trent (Barbara Stanwyck) was married to the inventor Howard (Hayden Roarke) before the blind electronics genius blows himself up following an argument between the couple. Irene leaves after the arguments only to learn of her husband's demise later.
