An interesting 70's film that's an indictment of the French criminal justice system of the period. It's a little heavy-handed, especially near the end, but is balanced by the strong performance of its two stars - Alain Delon (who also produced) as a man coming out of prison after 10 years and Jean Gabin as a reform-minded social worker who ...
