Donald James Nicholls, Baron Nicholls of Birkenhead, PC (25 January 1933 – 25 September 2019) was a British barrister who became a Law Lord (Lord of Appeal in Ordinary). Biography [ edit ] Nicholls was educated at Birkenhead School , before reading Law at Liverpool University and Trinity Hall, Cambridge .
Nicholls was made a Law Lord, a Lord of Appeal in Ordinary, 1994. He was introduced into the House of Lords on the 19 th October 1994 as Baron Nicholls of Birkenhead. His supporters were Lord Woolf and Lord and Lord Chief Justice Taylor. Nicholls coat of arms bares the motto “Let Equity Prevail.”

Donald James Nicholls, Baron Nicholls of Birkenhead, PC (born 25 January 1933), is a British lawyer. He was a Law Lord (Lord of Appeal in Ordinary). From 1998 to 2004, he was a Non-Permanent Judge of the Hong Kong Court of Final Appeal. He retired from the membership of the House of Lords on 3 April 2017.
