Cheryl Ann Krause (born January 25, 1968) is a United States circuit judge of the United States Court of Appeals for the Third Circuit.
Cheryl Ann Krause is a federal judge on the United States Court of Appeals for the 3rd Circuit. She joined the court in 2014 after being nominated by President Barack Obama. Early life and education. A native of St. Louis, Missouri, Krause earned her B.A. from the University of Pennsylvania in 1989 and her J.D. from Stanford Law School in 1993.
Cheryl Ann Krause was unanimously confirmed as a judge on the United States Court of Appeals for the Third Circuit in July of 2014. She previously worked as a partner at a multinational law firm where she specialized in white collar criminal defense and securities litigation.
Krause led the prosecution and investigation of a $65 million food stamp fraud conspiracy. The investigation spanned two years and resulted in more than 60 pleas and convictions, including of several bank officers.
