Hirokazu "Hip" Tanaka (田中 宏和, Tanaka Hirokazu, born December 13, 1957), also known as Chip Tanaka, is a Japanese musician, composer, sound designer, and executive who pioneered chiptune music. He is best known as one of Nintendo's in-house composers during the 8-and 16-bit era of video games.

プライベートな音楽活動として1977年から関西を中心にキーボーディストとして数々のロックバンドで活躍する。 1979年文化放送ほか民放6局、日清製粉主催「全日本アマチュアフォークコンテスト（ハッピー・フォークコンテスト）」で優勝。 バンドはデビューするものの任天堂へ入社。 その後、ギタリストとしてレゲエバンドを大阪で結成、80年代はレゲエサンスプラッシュ（大阪）に出演するほか、ジャマイカのリズムセクションSly＆Robbieの公演のフロントアクトをつとめる。 また、地元、大阪、京都、神戸のライブハウスのみならず、クラブチッタ川崎、渋谷エッグマンなど、関東でも精力的に活動する。
