France. Toulon. Bernard Laporte (born 1 July 1964) is a rugby player, coach and former French Secretary of State for Sport. From 1999 to 2007, Laporte was the head coach of the France national team. In 2011, he became the head coach at Toulon, after Philippe Saint-André became the new national team coach. [1]
Bernard Laporte, né le 1 er juillet 1964 à Rodez , est un joueur, entraîneur puis dirigeant français de rugby à XV. Il est également homme d'affaires et homme politique. Évoluant au poste de demi-de mêlée dans son club formateur de Gaillac avant de rejoindre Bordeaux-Bègles, il est champion de France en 1991.
