Henry Huttleston Rogers (January 29, 1840 – May 19, 1909) was an American industrialist and financier. He made his fortune in the oil refining business, becoming a leader at Standard Oil. He also played a major role in numerous corporations and business enterprises in the gas industry, copper, and railroads.

At the time of his death in May of 1909, Henry Huttleston Rogers was worth between 100 and 150 million dollars, placing him at number 22 in the list of the top 100 wealthiest people in American history. His fortune, adjusted to today’s dollars, would be worth more than $40 billion.
In the mid-1890s, Rogers was part owner and president of the Ohio River Railroad. Rogers’ greatest railroading achievement was the construction of the Virginian Railway. Six hundred miles in length, the railroad transported coal from southern West Virginia to tidewater ports near Norfolk, Virginia.
