Asafa Powell, CD (born 23 November 1982) is a retired Jamaican sprinter who specialised in the 100 metres. He set the 100 metres world record twice, between June 2005 and May 2008 with times of 9.77 and 9.74 seconds.
Asafa Powell is a Jamaican sprinter who holds the world record for the 100m with a time of 9.72 seconds. He is also a former Olympic champion, world champion and Diamond League winner in the 100m.
