Gerd Kanter (born 6 May 1979) is a retired Estonian discus thrower. He was the 2007 World Champion in the event and won the gold medal at the 2008 Summer Olympics, and bronze in London 2012. His personal best throw of 73.38 m is the Estonian record and the fourth best mark of all time.
Gerd Kanter (Tallinn, 6 de maio de 1979) é um atleta e campeão olímpico estoniano, especialista no lançamento de disco. Competiu nos Jogos Olímpicos de Atenas 2004, mas não se classificou para a final. Em 2005, terminou o ano como medalhista de prata no Campeonato Mundial de Atletismo, realizado em Helsinque.
