Christa Luding-Rothenburger (née Rothenburger, born 4 December 1959) is a former speed skater and track cyclist. She was born in Weißwasser, East Germany. Luding is one of the few athletes who have competed in both the Summer and Winter Olympic Games, and the first female to win a medal in both the Summer and Winter Games.

Biography. Christa Luding-Rothenburger was the first woman to win medals at both the Winter and Summer Games (also in the same year). A speed skating gold medalist at 500 metres (1984) and 1,000 metres (1988), she also won a silver in the cycling match sprint in 1988.
