James Philip Laurenson (17 February 1940 – 18 April 2024) was a New Zealand stage and screen actor, based in the UK.

James studied at Canterbury University College in Christchurch where he made his theatrical debut in the title role of Hamlet under the direction of mystery author Dame Ngaio Marsh.
