Gerda Maureen Nicolson (11 November 1937 – 12 June 1992) was an Australian actress, who worked across all major forms of media, including theatre, television and films, she was best known for several long-running television roles, and was a constant presence on the small screen since the early 60s until her death.

Actress: Gallipoli. One of Australia's best loved character actresses until her untimely death in 1992, Gerda was born in Hobart, Tasmania in 1937 to parents in the theatrical profession. Despite being surrounded by actors during her childhood, Gerda studied architecture and worked as a draughtsperson whilst living in London from 1958 to 1961.
