Jaya Bachchan (née Bhaduri; born 9 April 1948) is an Indian actress and politician. She has served as a member of parliament in the Rajya Sabha from the Samajwadi Party.
Jaya Bachchan is a former actress, producer and writer in Bollywood, married to Amitabh Bachchan. She starred in many hit films, such as Sholay, Abhimaan and Kal Ho Naa Ho, and won several awards for her performances.
