[3] Early life. Tierney's father, Ernest, was a boilermaker and trained draughtsman, from Warrington, who worked at Blackpool Pleasure Beach.
Malcolm Tierney (1938-2014) was a British actor who appeared in Braveheart, The Saint, In the Name of the Father and other films and TV shows. He also worked as a textile designer and printmaker before becoming an actor.
