Joseph Sherrard Kearns (February 12, 1907 – February 17, 1962) was an American actor, who is best remembered for his role as George Wilson ("Mr. Wilson") on the CBS television series Dennis the Menace from 1959 until his death in 1962.

Joseph Kearns was quickly becoming the star of Dennis the Menace when he suddenly died in February 1962. His death has always fascinated me because of how the writers evaded the subject and how the show managed to stay in production without missing a beat.
