Edith Holländer-Frank (16 de janeiro de 1900 – 6 de janeiro de 1945) foi uma alemã de origem judaica. [1] Ela é mais conhecida por ser a mãe de Margot e Anne Frank, cuja última se tornou famosa graças a publicação de seu livro, Diário de Anne Frank (1947). [2]

Edith Frank (née Holländer; 16 January 1900 – 6 January 1945) [1] was the mother of Holocaust diarist Anne Frank and her older sister Margot. After the family were discovered in hiding in Amsterdam during the German occupation, she was transported to Auschwitz-Birkenau concentration camp.

She was a daughter of Abraham Holländer and Rosalie Holländer-Stern. Edith was the youngest of four children. [1] . She had two brothers: Julius and Walter.
Edith Frank was imprisoned in Auschwitz-Birkenau from 6 September 1944 until her death on 6 January 1945. After arrival and selection, the remaining women from the transport were considered potential forced labourers who could be used in the German war industry.
