Alexander Dallas Bache. 1806 – 1867. Alexander Dallas Bache was born July 19, 1806 in Philadelphia to Richard Bache, Jr. and Sara Bache. He was a grandson of Richard Bache, Postmaster-General of the United States from 1776 to 1782, and a great-grandson of the famous Benjamin Franklin.
