She can give a biography of every portrait in the picture gallery, and is a complete family chronicle. She is treated with great consideration by the squire.
Bracebridge Hall. A fine, Doric porch and other Greek Revival details derived from the pattern books of Asher Benjamin distinguish the 2-story, 5-bay house. Planter Jonas Carr erected a 1-story dwelling here, to which he added the Greek Revival front block before his death in 1843.
