Shebib was the director, producer and co-writer of the 1970 movie “Goin’ Down the Road" which told the story of two down-on-their-luck Cape Bretoners who head to Toronto looking for work. It captured the cultural phenomena of easterners heading to Toronto for work, but its timeless theme is still relevant in the recent decades of going out west.
