No Reason to Cry is one of Clapton's most internationally successful albums from the 1970s. The release reached the Top 30 in seven national music album charts, hitting Top 10 in United Kingdom (peaking at No. 8) and in the Netherlands , where it topped out No. 9.
14 de jul. de 2019 · Despite all self-mockery, he does ignore the parallels with his own No Reason To Cry; according to the liner notes no fewer than forty (!) people are involved in the production thereof.
The album includes a duet with Bob Dylan, a song which Dylan composed according to the CD booklet of his album The Bootleg Series Volumes 1 - 3 [Rare & Unreleased] 1961-1991. Dylan lived in a tent at the end of Clapton's backyard in Hurtwood and attended the recording sessions.

Eric's vocals on this album is his absolute best - torn, broken, longing, boozed up sandpaper vocals garnished with heart and honesty. All in all, "No Reason To Cry" is a star-studded, beautifully solid performed latin-blues-rockin' work of art, with an absolutely magical atmosphere.
