AQUINAS INTERNATIONAL PROGRAM. Bishop Carroll Catholic High School offers boarding programs for domestic and international students at our on-campus housing facility, Aquinas Hall. The building was originally the summer home of Pittsburgh Steel Magnate David Park, and was designed by world-renowned architect Walter Myton.

John Carroll (born Jan. 8, 1735, Upper Marlboro, Maryland [now in the U.S.]—died Dec. 3, 1815, Baltimore) was the first Roman Catholic bishop in the United States and the first archbishop of Baltimore. Under his leadership, the Roman Catholic church became firmly established in the United States.

Both five- and seven-day boarding plans will be offered to domestic students. The idea behind the five-day plan is that families who do live within driving distance of Bishop Carroll could have their children attend the school during the week and then go home on weekends, much like a college environment.
The John Carroll School bears his name in honor of his dedication to the Catholic faith, the United States and education in the Catholic tradition. More than 200 years after his death, John Carroll’s beliefs and values continue to influence the Catholic identity of The John Carroll School.
