KLE Technological University (formerly BVBCET) was established by the Karnatak Lingayat Education Society (KLE Society) in 1947. It owes its original name to the businessman-philanthropist Shri Basappa Veerappa Bhoomaraddi. It began as a polytechnic in Gadag but shifted to Hubli in 1948 and upgraded itself to a college.
KLE is a self-financing, non-autonomous and ISO certified institution in Belagavi, India. It offers undergraduate and postgraduate courses in engineering, management and computer applications, with accreditation and placement opportunities.
A university since 2012, KLE’s current focuses are engineering, management and law. But it has set itself the target of emerging as a multidisciplinary research university by 2031. It currently enrols more than 8,000 undergraduate students and 700 postgraduates.
KLE Tech University is a private engineering college in Hubli, Karnataka, established in 1947. It offers B.Tech. courses in various specializations and admits students through KEA-CET and COMEDK counselling.
